Capital City Baseball currently competes in the Eastern New York Travel Baseball League at various age groups and the Albany Twilight League. Capital City Baseball organization was started by Bill Creighton, current head coach at Schenectady Community College, with one goal in mind- to teach players the correct way to play the game while still having fun. Over the years, Capital City teams have won State and Regional Championships and have made two World Series appearances at the Collegiate Level.
Capital City organization has grown from one team into a franchise of teams, fielding up to six teams a season. The program features access to year round indoor training and some of the top instructors in the area. Capital City continue to help players enhance their baseball skills while expanding their knowledge of the game and providing players with positive experience. The program has helped players pursue their varying level of dreams such as playing varsity baseball or college baseball and even producing some players that have played professional baseball. Players often return to coach teams, run clinics and offer instruction to the younger players in the program.
